Two Midland ISD employees injured in bus crash have been released from hospital

Midland ISD released a statement to NewsWest 9 regarding one of its school buses being involved in a crash Monday morning.

MIDLAND, Texas — The two Midland Independent School District (MISD) employees, who sustained minor injuries on board a school bus during a crash, have been released from the hospital, according to Midland ISD Communications in a release Monday afternoon.

According to the Strategic Communications Officer for the City of Midland, Stewart Doreen, the rollover crash occurred Monday morning at South County Road 1232 and County Road 132; the bus was not carrying any children.

"MISD can confirm one of its school buses was involved in an accident this morning. While we are thankful to report that no students were on board at the time of the incident, two employees were taken to the hospital and have since been released. We are grateful to the law enforcement who responded to the incident and encourage drivers to be on the lookout for school buses and student pedestrians as we enter the last week of school before the district recesses for the holidays." - Midland Independent School District Communications
