MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - A Midland man is dead following a deadly crash Monday morning.
The accident happened around 9:30 a.m.
An investigation revealed an 18-wheeler was traveling westbound when it pulled into the outside lane to make a right turn into a business.
We're told that while the truck was turning, the pickup, struck the telephone poles that were being carried on the trailer the 18-wheeler was carrying.
According to the report, two of the poles went through the cab portion of the truck.
The driver of the pickup, Zachary Galindo, 21, of Midland, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic has been reduced to one lane for eastbound traffic and westbound traffic remains closed.
