MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - In an effort to better serve the community's veterans and family members, the Midland Vet Center is hosting a free event to help veterans get counseling.
The Mobile Vet Unit reaches high numbers of vets across the state by driving to rural areas and help veterans with counseling.
"We kinda help them with whatever they need and we have helped them today with helped some enroll in their health care, we helped one get his ID card we have helped a couple get their DD-214 forms ordered, so we just kind come out to do whatever we can," said Leanne Thorton, Midland County Vet Center .
The mobile unit will be at the Midland County Annex Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
