MONAHANS, Texas — October is universally known as the month where many come together to promote awareness and finding a cure to the dangerous disease, breast cancer.
It is a common theme to wear pink to honor the survivors, the active fighters and those that lost their battle against the aggressive disease.
“For the month of October our Officers will be wearing pink badges in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month," Monahans Police Department said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
The department will work with other agencies across the state — Abilene, Waller and Odessa — to join in the effort.
