ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — A multi vehicle crash in Ector County has left two dead and one injured Tuesday evening, according to Sergeant Steven Blanco with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

The fatal crash occurred at about 5:05 p.m.

An International Truck with a trailer traveling east on Southeast Loop 338 approached the intersection of FM 3503.  A Volkswagen Golf was traveling south on Farm to Market 3503, approaching a stop sign at the intersection of Southeast Loop 338 and "failed to yield the right of way" to the semi. Blanco said the driver and passenger of the 2013 Volkswagen Golf died at the scene, Irek Rustem Gumerov, 26, of Houston, and Kaelee Lee Adams, 20, of Cypress, TX.

The driver of the 2020 International Truck with trailer, Johnny Ray Davis III, was taken to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, and no other information is available at this time.
