WINKLER COUNTY, Texas — A crash in Winkler County on Tuesday night has claimed the life of an Alabama man, according to Sergeant Steven Blanco with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The crash occurred on Nov. 5 at 10:20 p.m.
A 2004 Ford Mustang, driven by 26-year-old Callejas Maldonado Alfredo of Tuscaloosa, AL, was going westbound on State Highway 302 "attempting to make a U-turn with oncoming traffic."
Then, Blanco said a 2011 Frieghtliner, driven by Orlando Javier Guzman Cerna, 52, of Las Vegas, NV, was also going westbound and struck Alfredo,
Alfredo died at the scene.
Blanco said no further information is available at this time as the crash remains under investigation.
