National Cookie Day celebrated at Centennial Park

Children got a free cookie as well as a reading of the book "To Give a Mouse a Cookie".

MIDLAND, Texas — As part of National Cookie Day, Centennial Park did their part to help the kids celebrate the day.

In partnership with DoubleTree by Hilton Midland Plaza, they hosted another Stories in the Park with a book reading of "To Give a Mouse a Cookie" along with free cookies for the kids.

It's part of their free programming they do with the community.

"I hope this influences kids to read more and enjoy; they can do many things outside," Jadyn Walker, Centennial Park PR Specialist, said. "We love providing free activities for the community to do and come together, whether it's children and adults of all ages. Who doesn't love cookies?"

Centennial Park is wrapping up Stories in the Park for the year. They'll be doing the series again in the new year.

They also have free programs coming up for 2024.
