MIDLAND, Texas — Late Saturday night, an 18-year-old male and 15-year-old male were shot after a shooting occurred across Loop 250 from Scharbauer Sports Complex in west Midland. New information from the City of Midland Monday has been provided to NewsWest 9.
According to the city, the 18-year-old was shot multiple times and the 15-year-old showed up to Midland Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound in his foot.
The incident has been described as an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Currently, there is an ongoing investigation and no arrests have been made.
According to the City of Midland, the 18-year-old, who was shot multiple times, told police that he would not be pressing charges if an arrest was made.
The parents of the 15-year-old, who was shot in the foot, said if an arrest was made, they could possibly press charges, according to the city.
The 18-year-old has been flown to Lubbock from MMH.
