MIDLAND, Texas — Midland's new animal shelter is expected to open in July.
It will be twice the size as the original one at 18,400 square feet.
The extra space at the shelter will be used for more kennels to hold more animals. There will also be a spaying and neutering clinic.
The facility cost $8.9 million to build.
