ODESSA, Texas — Many North Odessa residents have reported to not have access to water inside their homes and business.

According to city reports, complaints began around 10 a.m.

One apartment complex, Sunset Apartments, sent an email to their residents shortly before 11 a.m. stating:

"Parts of North Odessa do not have water. The city is sending out a Field Supervisor to see what the issue might be. There is not an ETA on when it will be back on, because the issue is not known yet. When I get an update i will let you know."

City officials have confirmed the outage to news outlets saying: "We have received numerous reports of residents without water on the north side of Odessa. Crews are working to determine the cause of the issue, and we will update you as soon as more information becomes available."

The cause of the outage was the "Rainbow Tower on the north side of town lost water, causing residents to experience no water or low water pressure."

Water service is expected to be restored within the hour.
