ODESSA, Texas — Odessa Arts has announced that the Odessa City Council has granted $500,000 in hotel occupancy tax funds to boost tourism, according to a press release from Odessa Arts.
The release further stated that this funding aims to support community enrichment through art, culture, and literacy. It is part of a larger allocation of nearly $3.5 million, intended to promote Odessa’s local convention and hotel industry.
Additionally, the funds will sustain a diverse range of programming throughout the year, including literacy initiatives and the Shakespeare Festival.
