ODESSA - After months of investigation into a private practice in Odessa, a cardiologist has been arrested.
Doctor Suresh Gadasalli is facing charges of currency structuring.
It's when you deposit $10,000 or more at a bank but you do it in several small amounts so you don't have to report it.
Cash deposits of $10,000 or more have to be reported under federal law.
FBI agents raided Gadasalli's office back in June.
Gadasalli made his first appearance in Federal Court on Thursday morning.
Michael Uhl, Gadasalli's attorney, released a statement on Thursday.
He says that the doctor denies the accusations and plans to defend himself.
