ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Odessa Couple is behind bars after being accused of sexually assaulting a child over a two-year period.
Martha Mulkey, 47, and Michael Mulkey, 50, were arrested on Tuesday, after the victim reached out to a school counselor and reported the molestation.
The child was forensically interviewed and reiterated that the abuse happened over a span of two years, with the last happening on Christmas Day of 2017.
According to the arrest affidavits, the Mulkeys abused the child in multiple ways. We have decided to leave the gruesome details out of the story to protect the identity of the victim.
The Mulkeys are now facing multiple charges including aggravated sexual assault of a child, continuous sexual abuse of a child and indecency with a child.
Michael is on a $1,450,000 bond, while Martha's bond is set at $1,200,000.
