ODESSA, Texas — An Odessa High School student is in police custody after carrying a gun on campus Thursday.
Campus officials first approached the student after receiving a tip that he was carrying drugs in his backpack.
That's when administrators found the gun and was taken into custody.
The teen is being charged with carrying a weapon in a prohibited place.
