One dead after disregarding stop sign, Texas DPS says

24-year-old Edgar Alexis Camacho was pronounced dead at the scene after a collision that happened Sunday night.

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas — A fatal crash happened Sunday night in Midland County on CR 1232.

24-year-old Edgar Alexis Camacho from Cortez, Colorado, died after colliding into a trailer attached to a 2001 International truck Saturday at 10:27 p.m. The truck was driven by Eduardo Saucedo-Lopez, a 43-year-old man from Chihuahua, Mexico.

The information provided to NewsWest 9 by the Texas Public Department of Safety concluded that Camacho was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala westbound on CR 1232, and the International truck and trailer operated by Saucedo-Lopez was heading southbound on CR 1160. 

The report stated that Camacho disregarded a stop sign at the intersection, striking the trailer.

Camacho was pronounced dead at the scene and Saucedo-Lopez was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
