MIDLAND, Texas — On Friday, May 10 at approximately 6:41 p.m., an officer-involved shooting took place on the 3100 Block of Roosevelt Avenue in Midland, according to the City of Midland.
The Midland Police Department were called out on a disturbance with weapons.
Shots were reportedly fired, and one person was later pronounced dead at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Two MPD officers have been placed on administrative leave according to their policy while the Texas Rangers investigate the officer-involved shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
