Permian Basin Area Foundation has awarded over $2 million to West Texas nonprofits

MIDLAND, Texas — The Permian Basin Area Foundation has awarded over $2 million in grants to local non-profit organizations, according to a news release. 

According to Grants Officer Raymond Williams, “These organizations provide valuable services that are unique to their own missions, though they all share one common virtue: humility. The work done by their staffs, board members and volunteers who serve their clients with respect are all examples of service not in search of recognition, but out of a sense of responsibility to our communities. The Board of Permian Basin Area Foundation is pleased to help advance these worthy missions.”

According to the news release, below are the West Texas nonprofits that were given grants:

  • Big Spring Symphony Association
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of the Permian Basin
  • Buckner Children and Family Services
  • Center for Big Bend Studies

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes
  • First Tee - West Texas
  • Food Pantry of Jeff Davis County Inc.
  • Gladney Center for Adoption
  • Harmony Home Children’s Advocacy Center
  • High Sky Children's Ranch
  • Jeff Davis County Shelter
  • Manor Park Inc.
  • Marfa Public Radio
  • Midland Children's Rehabilitation Center
  • Midland Teen Court

The Permian Basin Area Foundation facilitates two community grant cycles each year, according to the news release.  The release would later state that Spring grant applications are due April 1 of 2025.
