MIDLAND, Texas — A man is in the hospital after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into Willowbrook Funeral Home in Midland Wednesday night, according to Stewart Doreen, the strategic communications officer for the City of Midland.
At approximately 7:31 p.m., the Midland Police Department (MPD) responded to a vehicle collision with a structure.
When MPD arrived on scene, it was reported that a Ford Mustang, driven by an unidentified man, was going east "at a high rate of speed" in the 1300 block of West Florida Avenue and lost control of his vehicle.
Doreen said the Ford left the roadway and crashed into a funeral home. The funeral home in the area is Willowbrook Funeral Home.
According to Doreen, the driver was not seriously injured but was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.
MPD is still investigating the crash.
