ANDREWS, Texas — The Salvation army is partnering with Sewell Family of Companies for the upcoming holiday season.
According to a news release from the Salvation Army, this partnership will make the Angel Tree program available in the city of Andrews.
This program is to ensure that more children are able to experience the joys of Christmas, providing gifts, and joy on Christmas morning to those in need.
The release states that "each year in hundreds of cities across the United States, The Salvation Army provides Christmas assistance to families in need through the Angel Tree program." the releases continued in stating "the program provides opportunities for generous donor, families and businesses to purchase and personalize a gift for a child in need."
Angle Trees may be seen at shopping centers and malls, as well as corporations that may choose to post Angel Tree adoptees at their place of business for employees to adopt.
Registration will take place Nov. 6 through 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sewell Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram dealership located at 1320 US 385, Andrews, Texas 79714.
The popular charity organization said the requirements for the Angel Trees program is as follows. Parents or guardians can sign up children, 0-15 years-old to receive Christmas gifts.
The following documents will be required to register:
One form of identification----driver's license or passport
One utility bill or proof of address (different to I.D.)
The release also states that "only a parent or guardian may register a child------ and proof of guardian ship must be provided."
Captain Robert Coriston, with Salvation Army in Midland Odess said, "We are so grateful for Sewell for reaching out, and sponsoring the Angel Tree and together we hope to grow the program in future years."
