GAINES COUNTY, Texas — On April 30, at 9:40 p.m., a Kia Forte was traveling eastbound on US-62 when it veered off the roadway to the south, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The report stated that the driver, 19-year-old David Rosalez of Seminole, took evasive action; however, the Kia struck a culvert in a ditch and then a utility pole.
Rosalez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation and no further information is available.
