MIDLAND, Texas — Seward Brandon Lott, 34 years-old of Midland, has died after a roll-over accident this morning in the 11500 block of State Highway 191, according to the Midland Police Department (MPD).
The crash occurred at approximately 12:13 a.m. Thursday. According to MPD, this was a single vehicle accident involving a 2018 Toyota Camry.
MPD reports that Lott in his red Camry left the south service road, reentered the roadway and began to skid sideways before veering off the road. During this incident, it is reported that Lott rolled over and struck a utility pole, "severing it at ground level."
Lott, who was partially ejected and pinned underneath the vehicle, was freed by the Midland Fire Department. He was transferred to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
The investigation of the accident is ongoing.
