PECOS COUNTY, Texas — According to the DPS, a man is dead after veering off into a ditch in Pecos County.
At about 7 p.m. Thursday, 58-year-old Jason Keith Richardson of Alpine was traveling southbound on FM 1776 at an unsafe speed to negotiate the curve in the roadway. Richardson veered off the highway into the east-barrow ditch.
Richardson then overcorrected, causing his vehicle to roll over. Richardson was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
