GAINES COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety has reported that a motorcyclist has died in a crash Saturday evening in Gaines County.
Mauricio Delgadillo, 63, driving a 1995 Peterbilt truck with a trailer, was going southbound on CR 215 and Virgil Woods, 60, driving a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling westbound on US 62.
Delgadillo failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign marked intersection of CR 215 and US 62, then proceeded to go south across the westbound lanes of US 62.
DPS says Woods then hit Delgadillo and died at the scene of the crash.
Woods was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Delgadillo was not injured as a result of the collision.
