MIDLAND, Texas — This Friday morning, May 10, the Spectrum Solutions partnered with Midland Christian School to get their patients up and active by hosting an Olympic themed Field Day.
About 25 special needs adult clients from Spectrum of Solutions had partnered up with students from Midland Christian School to participate in the event.
The special needs clients had come through the school’s inflatable tunnel and had fun playing activities like the classic egg and spoon race, dress up relay and obstacle courses with the help of their student buddy.
Spectrum of Solutions were thankful to find amazing partners in the community to provide enriching and fun activities for their clients.
“It’s important to get them out in the community to have a fulfilling life and have more experiences. They love getting out and meeting new people. If they are not employed in the community, they're at our day hab (habilitation) and the staff are like family, but it’s always great to get out and try new things,” said Alayne Paulson, Director of Development Spectrum Solutions.
Spectrum Solutions have been working with Midland Christian on and off for about five years and have made it a mission to bring back fun activities.
