ODESSA, Texas — State Representative Brooks Landgraf took to social media on Friday to say that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is sending people to the site of the Permian Basin Containers fire that took place the morning of Tuesday, July 23.
According to Landgraf, he got a call from a constituent who told him that the chemical containers fire site was smoldering and causing symptoms in people.
Landgraf said that he and Ector County Commissioner Mike Gardner are working together to get help to residents near the site.
In the post, Landgraf states that the TCEQ has ran some tests on site.
Based on conversations Landgraf has had with constituents, the air and water near the site of the fire needs to be closely watched.
