MIDLAND, Texas — Midland Fire Department responded to an apartment fire that has now displaced 40 residents.
On Sunday at about 3:49 p.m., MFD were called to the Meridian Apartments located in the 4400 block of Holiday Hill Road in response to a structure fire.
The complex had smoke and fire venting out when crews arrived. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze after a while.
Eight units were affected by the fire and American Red Cross is assisting 40 displaced residents.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
