ODESSA, Texas — UPDATE: Texas DPS has identified the person who passed away during the fatal crash.
60-year-old Pedro Garcia of Odessa was pronounced dead at the scene after getting into an accident with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to MMH and is currently in stable condition.
The initial investigation revealed that Garcia was traveling eastbound on BI-20 in the left lane, while the other vehicle, a 2018 Dodge Ram, was traveling westbound on BI-20 in the left lane. The Ram then made a U-Turn at the intersection of SCR-1290 and was struck by Garcia.
Garcia was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
