Governor Greg Abbott has appointed a new judge for the 446th Judicial District Court in Ector County.
Sara Kate Billingsley of Odessa will be the new judge.
Her appointment will take effect on September 1.
Billingsley is currently a partner in the Billingsley Law Firm, a fellow of the Texas Bar Association and previously was the president and treasurer of the Ector County Bar Association.
