MIDLAND, Texas — A Midland County Sheriff's Office Deputy was involved in a shooting incident on March 3.
The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. at Sandstone Ridge apartments.
According to DPS, the call was originally reported as a vehicle burglary.
The suspect who was shot was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, where they later died. The name has not been released at this time.
No residents were injured during the shooting, and the deputy involved was also not injured.
The Texas Rangers are currently investigating the situation. The officer's name will not be released until their investigation is complete.
