Gov. Greg Abbott says next 2024 Governor's Small Business Summit will be held in Odessa

The summit is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 22.

ODESSA, Texas — Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced on Tuesday that the next 2024 Governor's Small Business Summit will be held in Odessa on Thursday, Aug. 22, according Abbott's press office.

“Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes our small businesses,” Governor Abbott said in a press release. “With over 3 million small businesses employing nearly half of the Texas workforce, Texas remains a top state for small business job growth. Texas offers opportunities and partnership for businesses of all sizes to grow and succeed. I invite Texas' small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to attend a Governor’s Small Business Summit. Together, we will build a bigger, better Texas for decades to come.”

According to a release, the summits aim to help Texas small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs succeed. They do that by connecting them with the resources and information needed to start, strengthen and grow a business.

The release states that Odessa brings together local, state and federal resource partners that can provide important insights on critical business topics.

The summit will be from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Venue at Lantana Acres. That is located at 6300 N. Golder Ave.
