West Texans collecting donations for Smokehouse Creek Fire relief victims

If you're willing to help fire victims, many locations across the Permian Basin are collecting items.

The Permian Basin community is coming together to support victims of the Smokehouse Creek Fire in the Panhandle.

If you would like to help, here is a list of businesses, individuals, and schools participating:

  • Midland Rockhounds (drop off at Momentum Bank Ballpark)
    • Non-perishable food items
    • Diapers
    • Toiletries

  • West Texas Food Bank 
    • Water
      • Odessa location: 411 S Pagewood Ave.
      • Midland location: 1601 Westcliff Dr.

  • Glasscock County Sheriff's Office
    • Paper towels
    • Toilet paper
    • Eye drops
    • Chapstick
    • Diapers
    • Baby wipes
    • Pre-packed snacks
    • Electrolyte packets for water
    • Gatorade
    • New socks 

  • First National Bank of Sterling City has a special account for fire victims.

  • Fort Stockton FFA (collecting donations until March 8)
    • Hydration powders
    • Water
    • Gatorade 
    • Energy Drinks
    • Pain relievers
    • Cleansing/Facial wipes
    • Snacks

  • Stanton ISD, Forsan ISD, and Midland Classical (bring items to baseball/softball games on March 5 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.)

    • Energy drinks
    • Hydration powders
    • First aid supplies
    • Pain relievers
    • Cat/dog food
    • Pet blankets/beds/kennels
