More details revealed in fatal car-pedestrian crash at JBS Parkway in Odessa

The Odessa Police Department has identified the victim of the crash as 21-year-old Jaden Woods. Woods was pronounced deceased by local medical examiners.

ODESSA, Texas — The Odessa Police Department has given more information about a fatal car-pedestrian crash at JBS Parkway Wednesday night.

According to an investigation, Odessa police responded to a major crash at 6:41 p.m. Wednesday in the area of JBS Parkway and Maple Ave.

A black Ford Explorer was going north in the 3,000 block of North JBS Parkway and merged into the left-turn lane, striking a pedestrian who was standing in the roadway.

OPD has identified the pedestrian as 21-year-old Jaden Woods, who was pronounced deceased by the Ector County Medical Examiner's Office. 

Next of kin have been notified. 

Odessa police say there were no reports of any other injuries.
