MIDLAND, Texas — NewsWest 9 told you about The Preserve at Midland, a new family-friendly entertainment space that will take Nueva Vista's place in Midland.
The Boot Lake Ranch announced Monday that they received a unanimous approval for its zone change application for The Preserve at Midland proposal with the Midland Planning and Zoning Commission.
Midland City Council will be considering the commissioner's recommendation at its next regularly scheduled public hearing.
“We’re very thankful for the discussion and approval for our rezone application by the commissioners,” said Boot Lake Ranch Partner, Ian Denholm. “It’s an important first step in bringing The Preserve to the community, who has overwhelmed us with their positive support for the project. We look forward to our meeting with the mayor and city council.”
The Midland Planning Commission approved Boot Lake Ranch Property Owner, LLC's zone change application from AE, Agricultural Estate District, to LR, Local Retail District for the property at the former Nueva Vista Golf Club.
