BREWSTER COUNTY, Texas — On Wednesday, July 17, a Brewster County deputy initiated a traffic stop in Study Butte, discovering that the driver did not have a license and the passenger was wanted by authorities in Midland County, according to a post on the Brewster County Sherrif's Office.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered both individuals were in the country illegally.
The driver was turned over to US Border Patrol agents for handling, while the passenger was taken to Brewster County Jail pending extradition to Midland County.
