MARTIN COUNTY, Texas — Two people are reported dead after a Thursday afternoon crash on State Highway 349.
The crash involved two vehicles: a 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by Shelby Carroll, 19, of Huffman, Texas, with Lorin Parks, 22, of Paducah, Texas as the passenger; and a 2009 Freightliner with trailer driven by Amador Reyes Terrazas, 31, of Odessa.
The Texas Department of Public Safety further stated that "the Freightliner, with a towed trailer, was northbound on SH 349 near mile marker 300 and was stopped in the inside lane, preparing to turn west into a private drive. The Jeep was also traveling northbound on SH 349 in the inside lane and struck the trailer from behind. The driver and passenger of the Jeep were pronounced dead at the scene."
This crash is still under investigation.
