MARTIN COUNTY, Texas — Martin County Sheriff Brad Ingram says an unidentified body was found in Martin County on Dec. 22.
According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, someone called the sheriff's office on Friday at 6 p.m. about finding "what was believed to be a body."
Once MCSO responded to the scene, the remains of an unidentified body were discovered.
MCSO thinks the body was "disposed of" at the location and the location of where the body was found is not considered to be a crime scene.
The Texas Rangers have been brought in to assist on the investigation.
Sheriff Ingram says there are no further details at this time and they will have more information once an autopsy has been completed.
