MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Authorities have released new details regarding a deadly accident that killed a Midland pastor.
The accident happened Saturday morning in Midland.
According to the report, Crestview Baptist Church Executive Pastor, Michael Menasco, 44, was traveling westbound in a Buick LeSabre on Andrews Highway when he entered the intersection at Midland Drive.
Police said Menasco ran a red light and that's when his vehicle was struck by a northbound Dodge bucket truck, operated by an ONCOR employee.
The collision caused the vehicle to hit two other vehicles that were stopped at the intersection.
Menasco was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
ONCOR has confirmed that one of their vehicles was involved in the crash and sent out the following statement, "Our condolences go out to all that were involved in this unfortunate accident."
Crestview Baptist Church also released the following statement on Sunday via their Facebook page.
"Please be in prayer for his wife April and his kids Kylie and Brett and their whole family as they navigate through this tragedy," the church posted.
