ODESSA, TX (KWES) - UTPB Football held a free three day camp for kids in the Permian Basin. Campers were able to learn the basics of the game from the Falcon Football staff.
Head Coach Justin Carrigan said during the first half of the mornings they would put the kids through drills teaching them aspects of every position, on both offense and defense. He said that during the second half they would have some fun and play what they call Falcon ball, which is a football version of ultimate frisbee.
Carrigan was thrilled that they could offer this camp for free for a second year in a row. "We got a little more in sponsorship this year so we were able to provide a little more for the kids. I think it's great that we don't have to tell someone no if they can't afford it. We can say hey come out, it's free and we'll have a good time," added Coach Carrigan.
