MIDLAND, Texas — According to the City of Midland, Public safety officials are asking those traveling southeast of Midland to avoid the area around the intersection of East County Road 173 and South County Road 1110 due to a motor vehicle collision.
On Sunday, August 11 around 12:02 p.m., a motor vehicle collision caused two people to be transported to Midland Memorial Hospital and sent two tankers across the area. Both tankers were confirmed empty, according to officials.
The Department of Public Safety is working to clear the vehicles from the scene.
Officials are asking the public to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.
