LEA COUNTY, N.M. - A head-on crash in Lea County took the life of a Lovington man.
The accident happened on Friday around 7 a.m. on Highway 82, close to mile marker 167.
The driver of a Mack truck was going eastbound when he drifted into oncoming traffic and that's when he hit another pickup head on.
The driver of the pickup, 48-year-old Robert Cornett, was airlifted to Lubbock where he later died.
