LOVINGTON, N.M. - A Lovington, New Mexico man is going to be locked up for a while.

Cody Ruiz was sentenced to 12 years in prison for a deadly hit and run.

According to the report, he hit and killed Karina Falvela and Manuel Garcia of Odessa last February.

After the crash, Ruiz walked back to a party where he admitted he had been drinking all day.
