MIDLAND - A Midland man is behind bars after getting violent.
Ricky Rodriguez is behind bars with a charge of assault family violence.
Police say back on February 20, a woman reported being assaulted by the suspect at a home off South Loraine.
The victim told police that Rodriguez had discovered the woman had called one of his friends and that's when things went south.
The woman says she was sitting down when Rodriguez began choking her and slamming her head against the wall.
She says she was able to get away but then Rodriguez grabbed her once again by the throat and pinned her against the wall.
That's when Rodriguez's brothers showed up and pulled him off of the victim.
