COLORADO CITY, Texas (AP) - An official says investigators in the case of a missing 13-year-old West Texas girl have identified her mother's boyfriend as one of several "persons of interest."
Colorado City city manager Pete Kampfer told The Associated Press on Wednesday evening that 25-year-old Shawn Adkins is among those who authorities believe is of interest to their search for Hailey Darlene Dunn. Nobody has been charged.
Hailey's mother reported her missing Dec. 28 in Colorado City, 200 miles west of Fort Worth.
Court documents indicate the girl's mother, Billie Dunn, and Adkins have given police contradictory information about when she disappeared.
