ODESSA - Odessa College is bringing alcohol on campus for special functions.
The O.C. Board approved the action on Tuesday night.
Up until now, the college has never allowed booze or cocktails at any functions.
The new policy will allow alcoholic beverages to be served at culinary arts events or foundation events.
However, the College President will have the final say on which events can have alcohol.
The decision is based on allowing culinary arts students a fuller experience during their training to pair wine and beer with the food they create.
