ODESSA - The Odessa Police Department could be seeing some new patrol cars soon.
They're asking the City Council for 60 brand new Chevy Tahoe's for patrol.
Officials tell NewsWest 9 since they're short on officers having the SUV's will be a great help but it will also be beneficial to the city.
"This is going to provide police presence, it's going to reduce crime, it's going to increase response time incredibly. So we're very excited about it. We're upbeat about this, about the possibility of this happening," LeSueur said.
