ODESSA – An Odessa woman is behind bars following an incident on Wednesday in Odessa.
Odessa Police were called out to the 3500 block of Merrill in reference to an assault victim.
When police arrived on the scene, they learned that 32-year-old Brooke Parson and her common law husband got into an argument and Parson threw a candle holder at her common law husband.
Police say Parson then grabbed a box cutter and starting making slashing motions toward her common law husband.
We're told that the common law husband was injured as a result of the attack.
Parson is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence).
