MIDLAND COUNTY - An Odessa woman is dead following an accident in Midland County on Thursday.
The head-on accident happened on FM 1788 between Highway 191 and Business 20, near Butch's Rat Hole around 1 p.m.
Midland Police tell NewsWest 9, a Chevy Tahoe traveling northbound on FM 1788 was attempting attempted to make a left turn and slowed down to turn.
A Mountaineer traveling behind the Chevy Tahoe for unknown reasons swerved to the right, overcorrected and hit a silver Lincoln Zephyr traveling southbound on FM 1788.
The female driver of the Lincoln Zephyr, 75-year-old Claudine Clark, was pronounced dead on the scene.
