After being named a person of interest in the disappearance of 13-year-old Hailey Dunn, Shawn Adkins is speaking out about the accusation.
Adkins claims he would never harm the teen.
He told the Associated Press, he prays daily for Hailey's safe return.
She's been missing from Colorado City for three weeks now.
A search warrant affidavit obtained by NewsWest 9 contains disturbing details about Adkins and Billie Dunn, Hailey's mother.
The documents say articles about mass murder and sex crimes were found in their home and that they held a party three days after Hailey went missing.
They also both failed lie detector tests.
As of Friday, the search for the missing cheerleader shifted to Abilene at their landfill.
KTXS in Abilene is reporting that cadaver dogs are currently being used to search there.
Other area landfills have also been searched by authorities over the past three weeks.
Rumors also swirled around Friday morning that human remains had been found in Scurry County.
