Landgraf on Tuesday said that some of his constituents asked him if he was endorsing Pugh, in response he said: "I want to be very clear: I do not, and will not, endorse Brandon Pugh in his race against Traci Gregston."

On Wednesday, around 3:11 p.m., Landgraf put out this statement:

"This afternoon, Brandon Pugh (who is in the Precinct 202 chair race against Traci Gregston) sent a text message to voters clarifying that his previous 'message was never intended to imply that Landgraf has endorsed me.' I appreciate Mr. Pugh working to clear up the confusion on this issue. I am dedicated to clear and honest communication with voters, so while my position on not endorsing Mr. Pugh has not changed, I do want to personally share this update with you as well." - Brooks Landgraf, State Representative
