When asked what his watch party was like in general, but especially when the votes began to come in. Stubbs said "I think the biggest thing is that this just wasn't my campaign, we had a great team a lot of supporters that came out and helped, and they all were able to come out tonight and celebrate a lot of hard work and a lot of time put in by a lot of people which is very overwhelming for me to see people come in and help me and everyone who loved Midland was here it felt like and we just had a great time celebrating Midland. "

"Well, I think the biggest one is just infrastructure in district 1, so we really need to focus on getting road plans done and getting roads built, making our roads safer, and accommodate for the growth that we are doing. Second is Fireman Pension Fund, we really have to find a solution quickly we are losing money every day that we don't have a solution, and we really need to find a way to move forward with that group, and make sure we are taking care of our fire fighters."

Stubbs message for those who voted for him preached relationships and open communication. "I am very honored that people have entrusted me with this position, and I am very excited to be a part of Midland and continue to help Midland be a city we all think it can be, I am all about building relationships, and open communication. I love representative government I am just a representative of district 1, so everything needs to start with a good conversation and educating me about what needs to happen and how we move Midland forward for everyone."
